About Xatabit Technologies and Education LLC

We are an organization that not only intends to create and own technical products but also assists smaller businesses and individuals in achieving personal growth through technological assistance, software, and/or training and education. The intended versatility of Xatabit Technologies and Education LLC is to leverage internal talent and development not only for our employees and leaders but also for our customers and clients. The initial services will be online tech-help and workshops. This will also be an attempt and an opportunity to give back to the community and increase the knowledge and versatility of the general public.

The Full Story

I, Xavion (sole owner and operator of Xatabit Technologies and Education LLC), noticed a large knowledge gap in technology when I started volunteering at a local library for "drop-in tech help." These sessions were designed for individuals with basic questions about technology. The issues I saw people have were things that I wouldn't give a second thought to, yet they were causing stress for others. This was disheartening, but then I thought about the underlying reason behind this phenomenon of people being illiterate with technology, and it became apparent. There was minimal time to adjust. I was fortunate enough to be in elementary school when technology was ramping up, so I was already in a state of my life where I absorbed things more easily and quickly. Being illiterate with technology is nothing to be ashamed of.

Around the same time, when I started volunteering at the drop-in tech help, I also developed and taught my first college course at the University of Colorado Boulder. The course was a mandatory course in their Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, and its intent was to teach students the basics and essential knowledge of programming embedded systems. Teaching became a passion for me nearly overnight. I get to problem solve as an embedded software engineer full-time and then empower and teach part-time.

The Next Direction

In the foreseeable future, we plan to create and host workshops locally in Colorado to help people of all ages and backgrounds be more comfortable with technology. Whether it is a workshop covering basic tech literacy concepts or a workshop to introduce computer programming, we want to educate as many people as we can who are willing to learn. If these gain serious traction within the state of Colorado, we will consider doing them in other states as well. We also anticipate growing an audience and following on social media.
